Audio/Visual and Input/Output Products
Audio / Visual and Input / Output products offer a variety of options for your specific system needs. VIS works hard to ensure we can provide fire protection contractors with the finest line of switches and notification devices possible. Below is a small selection of our options.
Agent Release / Fire Suppression Pull and Abort Station
The Potter MAS Switch is designed to be used with any releasing system. The device consists of a manual pull station and a push button abort switch. This device is designed for indoor use only. The Potter single action series of pull stations operate by pulling the white operating handle straight down and the handle will lock into place. The station is reset by opening the front and placing the handle in the normal non-pulled position. The abort switch is a momentary push button.
Outdoor Strobe Devices
The S/HS-WP Series Outdoor Signals are 24VDC strobes and horn/strobes equipped with a fixed 75 candela strobe.
This series of outdoor signals are available in two different versions. The standard version includes a surface-mount back box (WPBB) to install directly on a wall. The Low Profile (LP) versions includes a low profile back box (WPLPBB) designed to be installed on a flushmounted electrical box. The weatherproof enclosure is made of clear Lexan® which provides maximum visibility and reliability for effective visible signaling, allowing full 75cd output.

Pneumatic Discharge Pressure Switch
For Viking VSH1230 and VHS200 Fire Extinguishing Systems, where a mechanical manual system activation is possible. The pneumatically actuated limit switch is required to indicate a release per NFPA 2001. As extinguishing agent enters the pipeline, the pressure of the agent opens or closes the floating contacts of the limit switch (depending on whether it is set for NO or NC operation). The status of this contact can be monitored by the agent release control panel.
Releasing Circuit Disable Switch
The device consists of a stainless steel faceplate, green LED, amber LED, and a switch assembly.
The Disable Switch interrupts the releasing circuit of a VSH1230 or VSH200 clean agent suppression system to avoid unwanted discharge, e.g. during maintenance and service. A key is required to activate the switch. Activation of the Disable Switch provides a supervisory signal to the releasing control panel.
Solenoid Monitoring Switch (SMS)
The Solenoid Monitoring Switch (SMS) consists of a supervisory switch, flexible connector, and a junction box. The switch is designed for use on Viking VSH200 or VSH1230 Clean Agent Suppression Systems to meet new NFPA 2001 requirements for a Manual Extinguishant Disablement Switch. It provides a supervisory signal at the releasing control panel when the electrical agent container actuation device has been removed from the container valve.
SpectrAlert Advance Horn & Strobe
The SpectrAlert Advance series is the most versatile and easy-to-use line of horn strobes in the industry.
With white and red plastic housings, wall and ceiling mounting options, and plain and FIRE-printed devices, SpectrAlert Advance can meet virtually any application requirement. All devices feature plug-in designs with minimal intrusion into the backbox, making installations fast and foolproof while virtually eliminating costly and time-consuming ground faults.
Surface Mount Abort Switch
Abort Switch is designed to be wired to the abort terminals of the releasing panels. The device consists of a stainless steel faceplate and a modular switch assembly. It is designed to mount on a standard double gang electrical enclosure.
